Association for Facilities Engineering

  Toy Drive

In 2006 , Our chapter at our December meeting collected  funds for Christmas toys for delivery to ECI . These toys  our chapter collected were  given to children who would not otherwise not have  them.

We sincerely appreciate all of those who participated in this very worthy effort.

We look forward to again participating in this worthwhile effort in 2007.

Meeting Place Venues
Keep an eye open for other locations that can provide a private room with reasonable cost food at a similar location.

Website
The national AFE website now links to our Chapter 22 website okay. David Graham has determined that there are two links. They both link to us okay, Region 9 is our region. One may find us through either path, i.e., Chapters or Region 9. Many thanks to David for co-ordinating this.

Members/Guests:

Our Chapter membership consists of professionals involved in facilities operations -- those who "operate facilities" and those who provide services which benefit facilities (Institutional, Commercial, Industria or other.)

The definition of professionals includes Consultants, Building Facility Engineers, Facility Managers, Facility Operations personnel including Control Specialists, Electricians, Facility Mechanics, Supervisors.

We especially are interested in educational sessions which provide information and cross training to those persons involved with maintenance, safety, controls, operations, & all aspects of buildings including design and construction.

Meetings are typically held on the first Thursday of the month with
overall goals of sharing best practices, providing useful information and networking with other professionals.

NTAFE Chapter Objectives for 2007

We'll continue to present meeting programs that update pertinent issues related to Facilities Engineering. Please feel free to let us know issues or concerns you'd like information on so this type of meeting can be arranged.

Active involvement in NTAFE really doesn't require a lot of time: a monthly luncheon, a half hour now and then...please consider becoming an active member.

Benefits include AFE's bi-monthly Facilities Engineering Journal, access to professional certification programs, sharing of best facilities practices and networking opportunities with lots of other professionals.

SEMINARS & Meetings: Certificates for PDH's & Continuing Education Units will  given during our seminars and regular meetings.

These are required for recertification of the CMMS, CPE , and the CPS  and also for other organizations such as PE licensing, and Air Conditioning Certification.

David Graham indicated we may look into what co-ordination may be required with other boards.

We will issue a 1 hour PDH authorization/meeting attendance as part of receipt for those attending meetings.
